The Rega R3 is a floor-standing design which features the same Rega 5" driver and soft dome high frequency unit as found in the R1. Mounted in a slender enclosure, the R3 system also adds an additional 5" bass unit to each cabinet. Rega designs and manufactures the individual drivers as well as the cabinet in England.There are many excellent reviews of these speakers, including http://www.sixmoons.com/audioreviews/budgetrig/budget.html These are excellent speakers and their small size adds to their flexibility. They're fairly insensitive to positioning (front ported) and can be driven with low wattage tube or solid state amps. There are no flaws or issues with these speakers. These are 6 months old and were bought new from an authorized Rega dealer. Finish is Cherry. They will come with all of their packaging and in the original boxes.
