I'm the original owner and this was purchased from an authorized Audio Research dealer. It's one of the last LS27 preamps produced and was priced at $7,500 when I bought it. With just 500 hours on the original tubes, it's probably not even broken in but nevertheless represents a huge sonic improvement over any of the preamps lower in the Audio Research line. (I've owned the LS26, LS25, LS25MKII and so on.)This preamp's faceplate has never been touched as I use the remote, which is the nice brushed aluminum version instead of plastic. I also use the preamp with the display off, thereby extending the life of the lights. This is probably a non-issue, but it demonstrates the kind of care all of my gear receives. This unit has been used in a pet- and smoke-free environment with no issues ever. No scratches, dents, dings, scuffs, smudges, etc. Comes with factory box, owners manual, remote and all original paperwork. Hard to beat the sonics and condition at this price.
