I purchased this excellent NOS DAC as a V1 last June and sent it directly to Gordon Rankin at Wavelength (Wavelength could be considered Mr. Rankin's First Watt, except that the exceptional products of many technological variations he designs for many other companies don't carry his name) to have it upgraded to V2 and to have a new tube installed, as I wanted to keep it true non-oversampling. I later added an 18V 1.25A Sigma 11 PSU by one of the professional builders AMB recommends. That said, the plain-looking wall wart included is actually modified by Wavelength to be a quality source of power.The condition of the Brick when I got it was not perfect; the previous owner had made various marks (all photographed), but given the aesthetics of the DAC, I think it's more like patina. The Sigma 11 is in excellent condition. I really enjoy this DAC and think it outperforms many current offerings in the $1000-$2000 price range, the only reason I'm deciding to sell it is because it only has USB input and my current setup needs other input options.
$800 for both the Brick and the Sigma 11 power supply including shipping and paypal fees. Not feeling very flexible on price. The only trades I would be interested in are of power amps or headphones, with cash on my side as an option. The power supply could also be sold separately, either as a base for your own Sigma 11 build or to power an Antelope Zodiac or many of the Pro-ject Boxes. Raiting the DAC's condition Fair, though the internals are excellent, and the PSU is very good.
