Cary AES-25 SUPERAMPFor sale is my Audio Electronic Supply (AES), Class-A, tube amplifier. AES is a Cary Audio owned company, which in the early 2000s offered a variety of kits and factory assembled stereo tube amps and mono blocks. My AES was not a kit, it was produced in same factory the Cary AES-25 Superamp. The amp is a tube rollers playground/paradise. The AES operates in a class A mode. My amp was configured by the factory as a 15 watt of triode power per channel configuration. This is the current config, and it has never been changed. Per Cary in triode mode you will have the sweetest sound from the Super Amp. The output transformers on the Super Amp are the most important component in the amplifier and have been specifically designed by Cary Audio for use in the AE-25 Super Amp. With a simple wire change, explained in the manual (included with this purchase) this amp can be configured with output power of 25 watts/channel in the ultra-linear mode. There is no bias adjustment required when listening with these different types of audio tubes in the Super Amp. The "auto bias" allows the use of EL-34s, 6L6s, 6550s and KT-88s. Review Summary
