Asking $675- selling to try a Korneff 45 amp.Difficult to find one especially in this condition. Here is description of the SA-232 which was restored by a graduate MIT engineer. "The amp if fully rebuilt with audiophile components although the original Pilot circuit is kept. Chassis is shiny and transformers are in excellent condition. Rebuilt, it sounds substantially better than any stock 232, any rebuilt Eico HF81, Scott as well as the Almarro. It will leave the Dynaco ST35 in the dust. 1. 5-way speaker gold plated binding posts
2. Cardas gold-plated RCA inputs
3. IEC power connector and new fuse
4. On-off switch
5. Ground lift switch
6. Hovland Musicap coupling caps in the driver stage
7.Multicap RTX 10-section polystyrene and tin foil coupling caps with the output stage
8. Hovland Musicap in the power supply
9. Cardas wiring on the input This SA-232 is quiet on my efficient 97dB speakers. Residual hum is measured at 700microvolts even though filaments are AC heated." Amp is cathode-bias and requires no adjustments Tubes included: Upscale Audio matched Russian EL84/7189's quad which may well be the best tubes for this amp and are priced so reasonably it isn't funny. ($15ea) Will come with brand new Chinese rectifier (GZ34), 2 Ruby 12ax7's and a nice Sylvania 12au7. I would leave the el84's in there especially considering that they are matched using at least 3 parameters. I haven't sold anything here before, but you can look at my feedback on Audiogon under the username "leahy" - thanks for looking. Michael
