This is a pair of Klipschorns made in 1977 (serial number 11R426 and 11R427). They have the distinction of being built for Bill Johnson of Audio Research Corp. They are in very good to excellent condition. This version has the Klipsch tweeter that looks very similar to the EV T-35, and the Klipsch midrange driver. The woofers are the K-77. One speaker has the original shipping container, the other does not. The serial numbers on the speakers match that of the box and the shipping label is the other clue of the original ownership. You will be the 3rd owner.The cabinetry is walnut with black grill cloth. There are two nicks on each cabinet- I have included closeups of the nicks on both (on is hidden in the rear so I did not shoot it). When viewed in person these speakers have a new look to them- the finish is free of scratches, unfaded and the various grills are perfectly intact. Overall it appears that these speakers got very little use and have spent most of their time in the boxes. There is little in the way of dust. The wiring on the crossover is rather pedestrian but is obviously also in excellent condition as are the crossovers. The serial numbers are very visible. Were it not for the very small easily hidden/easily repaired flaws I mentioned, I would have rated these speakers in excellent/like new condition.
