Rare and Out of Print (OOP) audiophile vinyl version of the debut record by The Police cut at half-speed from the original analog tapes and pressed on the purest possible anti-static virgin vinyl by JVC Japan (same as the legendary original Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs-MFSL-series of audiophile half-speed mastered releases). What this means (besides being able to “see through” the record when it’s held up to a light because of the purity of the virgin vinyl) sonically is realizing a “closer to the source” reproduction of the original master tape with an increase in dynamic range and frequency extension as was originally recorded.Vinyl is “Excellent/Like New/Mint” condition with absolutely no scratches, blemishes, etc and exceptionally clean (cleaned on VPI Record Cleaning Machine). Please refer to the accompanying pictures. I’ve tried to best capture the immaculate and flawless condition and even mirror-like finish (note the inner run-out grooves images) of this piece of virgin vinyl. PLEASE BE SURE TO ACTUALLY “click on” each picture as this will provide a much more accurate image. Apologies if they are not otherwise “professional-grade” images, they never seem to accurately transfer when uploaded as well as they appear on my tablet when originally photographed. Jacket is in VG/+ condition, with only very very minor wear and a few imperfections; pretty remarkable, actually, given that this is now a 41-year old (1978) release! As such I’m conservatively using an overall lower Audio Asylum rating of “8-Very Good” (Jacket 8/Vinyl 9), but the quality of the vinyl is exceptional. Please check my feedback and buy with confidence. Asking price includes PayPal and shipping in the continental U.S.
