* Includes standard RCA jacks The Silk AVC used in this unit has 10 DB more attenuation with 28 steps than Djangos of the past. The Django+ AVC has all the advantages of a supermalloy inductive volume control. High inductance, excellent bass slam, transparency, detail, presence etc. The Django+ AVC also uses a very special totally nonmagnetic copper brass and gold switch from Seiden Japan. DIY Hi-Fi no longer makes this particular type of Django+, as 'The Silk company' no longer supplies their transformers and autoformers to outside companies. It is in excellent condition, but it does have more than a couple light marks on the grained stainless steel top. DIY-Hifi still makes a Django, though their current offering is selling for around $1500 in the form closest to this one. There are 5 inputs and 2 outputs. The +6dB swith does not operate with the AVC - that is a TVC thing. The XLR-intended inputs and outputs were instead built as additional RCA inputs and outputs. True balanced means a second set of autoformers and a lot more wires. The original owner made some modifications that are listed below: - Added Deflex to interior - top, sides, bottom and around autoformers
- Replaced wire from input switch to volume switch, and from volume switch to outputs
- Wire is Clairvoyant Cable: 6N 99.9999% OCC Solid Copper (.50 microns of 24K Gold Plating coated w/ a clear enamel insulation)
