This is one of latest versions of Balanced Power Technologies BP-2 with upgrades. Upgrades include High Current Filter, Auric capacitors for filtering on each duplex and 10 gauge silver plated wiring. Also included is a B-P-T C-10 power cord with 10 AWG high-current design that uses silver-plated copper wire jacketed with Teflon, shielded for maximum RFI rejection, and enclosed in a protective mesh casing.. The unit itself is 12 x 13 x 6, and weighs 60 lbs., so the shipping weight will be about 68 lbs. The original price was $1,199 plus the cost of the upgrades, bringing the total to over $1,500. The reviews suggest this unit will lower the background noise floor, give cleaner clearer highs, and improve bass performance. I certainly agree. I purchased this unit at the end of a search for a power conditioner that included products from Shunyata, PS Audio and Richard Grey. It was clear to me that the BP-2 was the best in my system. I am sadly decommissioning the system.
