Up for sale, Rega turntable, British belt-drive table. Tonearm is a Michell RB250, which has been upgraded with RB300 stub and tungsten counterweight. The table started as an NAD (rebadged Rega) and has been repainted with quality red paint and Rega decal added. What I liked about this version is the motor is mounted more firmly instead of the over-flexible factory 'hanging' method. Motor and pulley are Planar 2 type. Three aluminum stiffeners added underneath.
Micro-polished spindle. Glass Rega platter has no chips. New felt mat. New belt. Sounds very good. Tonearm moves freely with no play or binding. Mount your own best cartridge.
Original Rega smoked dust cover has some swirl marks but it has been polished and very shiny, presentable. Because the plinth was painted and home-built it is not perfect but you have to look closely.
I modded this Rega for my own use and planned to keep. I'm only selling because I'm not using it enough. Most of the photos were taken outdoors so the colors look accurate. Buyer will receive 1 turntable, without cartridge. Will be partly disassembled and well-packed, and ship within Cont US under $40 by FedEx ground.
See my seller feedback and thanks for looking.
