The PD-272 is a fully manual table from Luxman's hayday. The platter gets up to speed quickly, holds steady at 33 and 45 and both the strobe and speed adjustments are working as they should. There is no play in the bearing of the arm and the cueing is working well. Speaking of the arm, it was made for Luxman by Micro-Seiki (Model TA-1), is the finest "stock" arm to have ever come on any Luxman table and is well worth the asking price alone. I have removed the stock RCA cord and have added high-quality RCA jacks that are soldered directly to the wires that come from the base of the arm.As for cosmetics: the platter has some very small/light tarnish spots on it which may come out if polished. The upper right-hand corner of the base has a tiny imperfection (see picture) and there is a non-through crack in the dustcover by the tonearm. The cover has the usual scratches expected of a table of this vintage. These are nits, this table is very clean, a real looker and performs well beyond its asking price. I am open to trades for vintage fly fishing reels (American or English). This table will be very well packed and double boxed.
