The Marantz 10B has been my personal tuner for the last 12 years or so. It is the finest tuner I've ever heard. Sadly, it no longer has any utility where I am living now, since only one station has music I enjoy, so I have very reluctantly decided to sell it. Here are the details:The 10B is in excellent general condition (see pictures) and sounds fabulous, but there are some caveats: 1. The tube shields are missing.
2. The "Stereo" indicator light works, but very slightly "flickers".
3. The RCA female outputs are now gold plated Tiffanys (the original RCAs didn't adequately grip modern cables).
4. There is a light scuff (not a scratch you can feel), on the upper right hand corner (107 to 108) of the front plate (see the picture).
5. There is no wood cabinet, operating manual, original shipping carton, antenna etc.
6. An alignment may be required after all these years, despite its superb sound. I have included two 12AX7 Mullard tubes, which cost $ 100+ each, in the critical output stage, though they are no longer new. They made a noticeable improvement in performance. I have checked out all the tubes I could, and replaced any that were weak. The price is firm, and once this ad expires, I will take the Marantz off the market. No PayPal.
