Up for sale, an excellent ESL S-1000 tonearm, made by Ortofon in Denmark, 1959. Shiny appearance. This tonearm has undergone complete restoration to like new, and in many cases, better than new condition. All parts polished. Aluminum and steel construction. New Cardas litz wires, from headshell connector to bottom with 11" extension, ready to attach to output RCAs. Old deteriorated rubber counterweight isolation rubber replaced with new rubber tube. The bearings are very precise, with no noticeable play. Vertical tracking force adjusts well with rotating side discs, measured with your gram scale. Plastic base has no cracks. Has been fully tested on one of my vintage turntables, played just right. No hum or other unwanted sounds. All manual, no lift. Mounting distance is 210mm. Headshell completely rebuilt with brand-new German-made connector (special 'diamond' layout, not compatible with standard connectors). Headshell shaved some on bottom edge, allows the user to see the cartridge and stylus placement better. Original appearance. Good cartridge leads. Includes original arm rest, and aftermarket locking rest. Base mounting screws, cartridge mounting screws included. Buyer will receive one complete tonearm, with all parts shown. Asking $325. No Paypal fee. Will be well-packed between layers of open-cell foam, with counterweight and headshell removed, and sent within US by Priority Mail for $12.
