For sale is an “Excellent” pair of unmounted, boutique MAOP 7 drivers by Mark Audio which utilize a very thin ceramic/crystal coating through a conversion process of the aluminum substrate. Plenty of info, including listening impressions, on the DIY Audio threads and elsewhere if you want to do your research. These are widely considered some of the best fullrange drivers available and far exceed their price point. These drivers come in matched pairs with very close tolerances and their own,
individual measurements (see photos). They have never had the cone cover removed (except for photos) and have been stored in the box in a smoke free, pet free home away from light and heat. They have never been played at anything even approaching listening levels and have never been mounted. They were momentarily (for ~ 1 hour) played at whisper levels while still sitting in the box when I thought I would begin the long, careful MA break-in process before deciding to pull the plug because I had too much other stuff going on. They’re being sold now because I’m moving across the country. Can ship Fedex, USPS or UPS, I will pay shipping within the US and cover PayPal fees for the asking price.
