Not much information on these speakers. I know of only one individual who has a similar pair but his speaker has a dome tweeter.
Woofers have brand new foam surround which have been sealed using SimplySpeakers sealer.
I had all crossover capacitors replaced with Sonicaps and the crossover board tracings were cleaned. All crossover work done by a certified defense contractor electrical fabricator.
Also, the cabinets have been refinished and coated with high quality teak oil. They look fabulous. The quality of the wood working is outstanding as seen in the photo showing the top, front corners. Both grills are perfect. Believe wood is teak.

“Carl has manufactured speakers, subwoofers, preamps, and amplifiers under the ParAcas brand and since about 1990 the Platinum brand. He was a exhibitor at the CES in Las Vegas from 1992 to about 1997. I have a pair of his mono block amps. They are class A up to about 120 watts and AB to about 1800 watts. The amps have 2 toroidal transformers each and are voiced with Aerovox capacitors that were custom made to Carl's specs. Carl still has a audio room at his plant, but has moved on and revolutionized the coffee roasting business with his Agtron technology. He has about every fortune 500 company involved with baking and food preparation. Among his customers are Starbucks, Mcdonalds, and Nabisco to name a few. Agtron's designer/owner/engineer is Carl Staub, a long-time friend of mine. Carl is an audiophile and in my opinion one of the top audio engineers in the country. I am fortunate to own some of his equipment and speakers.”
I have had several interested parties ask, “What do they sound like?” That is an impossible question to answer since we all hear and perceive differently. But I’ll give it my best shot -- These speakers centerpiece are the dome midranges which is where most of the music resides. They are wonderfully clear and precise. The four woofers are not bad for their size. Bass quality is excellent.”
I’m a non-conventional tweeter guy and these ribbon tweeters have just enough sizzle and sparkle but not harsh or over-bearing. Obviously, if you like a lot of bass, a small subwoofer would provide the lowest bottom end. I’m turning 70 and downsizing. Very nice speakers – especially for the money. $695 Unfortunately, no shipping. Pick up only. Split PayPal fees.
