I am the original owner of these speakers. I purchased them january 2006. My home is pet/smoke/child free. I placed them in their "spot", and tried moving them closer together a couple of times. That's it... As a result the speakers are in MINT, as new condition. I checked everywhere looking for scratches or nicks. There are none.
The first quality speaker I owned was a pair of Signet SL 280EX. I owned them for a good nine years. A good speaker indeed. I then read about RBH speakers, and decided I wanted to own a pair. The RBH simply sounded more real than the Signets, without getting into any audiophile buzz words. I am now selling the RBH, as I have constructed a DIY open baffle "speaker". There is no box, so it operates in true bipole fashion. A rear firing tweeter completes the package. I have them twelve feet from the rear wall. They provide a very spacious sound. I like them better. I was driving the side-firing 10" woofers with a NHT SA-2 sub amp. This gave uber precise control of the bass. That's what the extra set of speaker posts are for. Right now there are no wires attached to these posts, so as to not cause any problems. I have priced the RBH 1044-SE in bargain territory. Fedex Ground shipping with full insurance will be $70 east coast, $105 central US, and $140 west coast. They will be double boxed, with ridged foam between boxes. This guarantees damage free arrival.
