These were purchased in 1999, measure 33" by 9 5/8" by 4 7/8," and have an appealing glossy black finish. There is slight chipping to the finish at the base of each speaker, but it's not noticeable unless you're looking for it (pictured). The speakers can be bi-wired. If using a conventional connection, please note that one of the jumpers on one of the speakers is missing. I've replaced it with a short length of Audioquest speaker wire (pictured). The frequency response is 35 Hz-25 kHz, with 88 dB sensitivity and 8 ohm impedance. Full specs can be found in the manual (pdf): dl.owneriq.net/9/98a55883-4879-495b-a773-56ecbe5ee78f.pdfA review of the C-2 (one step below the C-4) in Stereophile magazine declared "The C-2s do not sound small. They are neutral enough, in themselves, to tell you what is on the recording. Revealing and low in coloration, they will also tell you what is happening with the rest of your system. Their strengths are also not lost on better equipment than might seem appropriate for a $700 pair of loudspeakers. And they definitely serve the music. In short, if you can't quite swing those $65,000 monoliths, or even those $2000 minimonitors, take a serious listen to the Energy C-2s." http://www.stereophile.com/standloudspeakers/energy_connoisseur_c-2_loudspeaker/index.html Local pickup in 20815 please, cash only. I have 100% eBay feedback, albeit mostly as a buyer, and I believe this is quite a good price.
