VERY RARE, B&W 801Fs.
These are the same speakers that were used for recording, at Abbey Road Studios. I am the second owner, having owned these for over 15 years. They sound wonderful!! These work PERFECTLY and look very good with minor flaws. The wood is teak finish, and all the drivers are original and in perfect working condition. I have the original boxes but no packing material.
$1400.00 for the speakers with the Sound Anchor stands.
Included is the original owner's manual containing the serial numbers, as well as the performance specs. Also included in the original manual is the original Queen Elizabeth, British coin, dated 1971, which is used for adjusting the crossovers. This coin has never been removed from the manual. This manual is introducing the B&W 801Fs. This is the 3700th pair ever made. This is not just a pair of B&W 801Fs, this is a very rare pair with a documented history.
I will set these speakers up in my home, to demo, but I'm not willing to ship these delicate speakers. This is a local buy, only, or if you can provide a packer/shipper, that would be fine. These speakers however, were my and my wife's favorite personal speakers, for over 15 years. It is time to let a new audiophile enjoy them. They come from a smoke-free, pet-free home. We have enjoyed these speakers. We have used them 2-3 times per month, at the most. These have been very well cared for. Buyer will not be disappointed.
The stands are lead-filled.
