This is an extremely rare vintage Sansui model G 901 (European version of the G 9000) one of the best stereo receivers from the Golden Age in the late 1970’s. Being the European version, it can be operated on 220V or 120V. This big guy weighs 59 lbs, measures about 8" x 22" x 19", produces 160 watts per channel with a THD of less than 0.03%. This unit is in great condition, both cosmetically and sonically. I had it cleaned, checked out and aligned by Mike Zuccaro of AudioCraftsman in San Diego. It functions nicely and it has that slightly warm, powerful sound of the big Sansui amps. The only flaws are a several nickel sized rings on the top case from some previous piece of equipment placed there, and the selected function lights work intermittently, probably the switch needs cleaning. It is ready to power any speaker system you can throw at it. A copy of the service manual is included.I am selling my collection of vintage stereo equipment, which represents what I consider the best in each class of gear. This is the last piece, the one I did not ever want to part with. But, we are downsizing to a much smaller house and I will not have room for a vintage system. I have owned some terrific receivers in the past, starting with the Pioneer SX-1980, and including top end Onkyo and Marantz. This Sansui is, to my ear, clearly better sounding than any of them. This is a heavy piece of eqt, and be properly packaged for Fedex Ground shipping. Figure about 72 lbs.
