This unit started life as the linestage-only PV-10AL. Bill Thalmann (former #3 man at conrad-johnson and designer of the PV-10A) of Music Technology added the phono stage, upgraded the capacitors, and changed both pairs of the main RCA outputs and the pair for the CD output to Cardas RCAs.The AΞON capacitor upgrade significantly improved the preamp's clarity and extension at the frequency extremes. The unit includes three smooth plate Telefunken tubes for the phono stage and a pair of Philips 6189W for the linestage. I am the original owner. In the interest of full disclosure, there are some scratches on the bottom plate from the Mapleshade footers I've used. Sale price includes shipping in the CONUS.
