I purchased the amp from The Music Room. The C2 presents a rather neutral sound, has plenty of power and an interesting aesthetic. A few years ago B.M.C. upgraded the amp and re-badged it C3. The specs are similar if not identical. HiFi+ has reviewed both versions. Other reviews can be found in the archives of The Absolute Sound, 6 Moons, positive-feedback.Full disclosure: A slight hum emanates from the left-rear side of the amp. It is a physical noise, not a sound that is amplified through the speakers. The hum is quite low and, in my setup, fades to inaudibility as one moves to the front of the amp. While playing music, even at low levels, the hum is not noticeable to me. B.M.C. suggested replacing the 2kW transformer. I purchased one from B.M.C. and traveled to their designated repair technician in Massachusetts for the switch. The hum remained, but didn't interfere with my listening. The C2 is being offered 'as-is'. Rated 7 due to age and that slight hum. The amp is without noticeable blemishes.
