Description below:

Imagine an Analog streamer, well that is what this is. Imagine the sound of Vinyl streaming instead of digital streaming in a nutshell thats what this tuner sounds like. Plenty of stations out there with great talk shows, jazz stations and a lot more to discover, even news sounds good from this tuner. Gives you this holographic large warm sound. If you love the sound of Vinyl you will love this tuner. I have several tuners cant keep them all.

“Summary: I have really enjoyed my time with the Magnum-Dynalab MD100 tuner. Its visual, and more important, its sonic attributes are superior to any tuner I have used in my system. A strong FM signal with a good recording or live performance lets the MD produce a wide and deep sound that can be closer to the sound of a record or compact disc than the Denon. The weighted tuning knob has a substantial feel with the smoothness of good bearings. A vigorous spin traverses a large part of the tuning range. The analog tuning lets you get the best sound from a station by precise frequency adjustment to obtain the strongest signal. This is more versatile than being limited by the discrete frequency steps of digital tuners. The meters are good indicators of center frequency, signal strength and multipath, aiding one's ears in optimizing the tuning.

Of secondary importance, but still significant, are the visual aesthetics. The warm amber glow is easy on the eyes and the dark blue stereo-indicating LED is attractive. This tuner is in the middle of the Magnum-Dynalab lineup, with their high-end tuners a lot more expensive than the MD100. Given my geographical location close to so many good stations, it's hard for me to imagine much better performance than the MD100. I rate this tuner a very Sensible choice for someone who appreciates FM. It sounds so good, it may even make some new FM fans. Seek it out and give a listen.
