This is a single-ended stereo tube amp. 6922 & 6HB6 tubes are included.
The amplifier circuit and PC boards are of my own design.
Great as a desktop amp for your PC, tablet, smartphone or for living room use with fairly sensitive speakers.
The amplifier uses an Electro-Harmonix 6922 driver tube and 6HB6 output tubes wired for ultra-linear operation.
The 6HB6 is very close to the EL84/6BQ5 with a little less plate dissipation.
The amplifier will accept 6GK6 output tubes with no changes. The 6GK6 is an EL84/6BQ5 with a different pinout.
The amplifier will also accept EL84 or 6BQ5 output tubes by moving 3 jumpers located on the output tube circuit boards.
The output power is 2 watts per channel into 8 ohms with the 6HB6 & 3 watts per channel into 8 ohms with the 6GK6, EL84, or 6BQ5 tubes.
Input sensitivity 1.5VRMS.
Fused EMI/RFI filter 120VAC power entry module. Neutrik RCA input jacks.
Pomona 5-way binding post for speaker connection.
Metal film/wirewound resistors as appropriate, Panasonic metallized polypropylene coupling capacitors, Nichicon 105°C power supply capacitors.
Brushed 1/8" aluminum chassis.
