Power transformer: Trans 0103 Output transformers: Trans-028 HiB This preamp CAN be run with balanced cables, and there are mounting holes on the back for them. I did NOT install them, although they could easily be added. That does not mean the preamp signal path is balanced--this unit has the HiB single-ended output transformers. The preamp is in perfect working condition. I am rating it a 6 only b/c I constructed it myself, and I try to "under-score" items I sell so no one is disappointed. I am selling b/c we have moved to a much smaller home and I need to get rid of a LOT of equipment that I am not using. This preamp is VERY similar to the current L3 linestage, which with the above upgrades, sells for well over $2000. And that doesn't include all the capacitor upgrades. (I'm noting this b/c I don't remember what I paid for the original M3 kit and upgrades.) I prefer local pickup in San Diego. I will ship at YOUR cost, but will NOT guarantee the preamp will arrive in working order if I do. Shippers these days seem to try to see if they can damage audio equipment.
