The Odyssey Stereo Khartago Extreme SE are a highly responsive and revealing dynamic amplifier. Packing plenty of power and finesse, it's a tremendous buy.It's a black (with a hint of brown) Odyssey Khartago factory upgraded to Stereo Extreme SE version at time of purchase. In addition to the base model this amp has the increased doubled output capacitance of 120,000uf total and the full SE board upgrade which includes Vishay/Dale resistors and WIMA metal film capacitors, wired with Groneberg shielded signal cable, and a encased shielded toroidal transformer to reduce RF/EMI. The SE version upgrades take the basic 110 WPC to 130 WPC into 8 Ohms. These upgrades added an additional cost of 90% the base Khartago itself, so upgraded this is a $2,100 retail amp. Great Class A/B BJT amp. Rated 9/10 for maybe two very tiny nicks on the top cover/edge. Nothing drastic and just a one or two more than a couple as from a distance this still looks 9/10 all day long. Klaus builds these in USA to a "Bang for the Buck" price point and is one of a few amps out there at this price point which can not just handle, yet drive and remain stable into a 2 Ohm load. This amp was purchased in late 2018, so it still has 15 years left on the 20 year factory warranty, along with the full bound owners manual, factory box, and a power cord.
