I am selling an extremely nice Harman Kardon Citation 2 stereo tube power amplifier. It has the McShane modifications, said to transform this amp into a world class amp that many on Audio Asylum think is the best sounding amp in the world. The modifier I bought this amp from, painstakingly matched resisters and installed the McShane mods. The amp is in super condition with just a few minor paint gaps on the transformers. The front panel is brand new. The bias meter is in great shape. The 6550 power tubes are Electro Harmonix. The amp sounds just fabulous and much better than a stock Citation 2, which I have owned two of.
The amp is built like a tank and is very heavy. The transformers, made by Freed, of NY, are considered the best transformers ever made, and is largely the reason why the amp sounds so good.
This amp will drive any type of speaker, including electrostatics.
I will ship this amp but pick-up is welcome.
