Up for sale is the well regarded Odyssey Stratos HT3...At least, that is how it came to life.
UPS and FedEx mishandled the amp and the circuit board of channel #3 came loose and had to be taken from the amp. Maybe with some TLC it can be a 3 channel amp again, but I am not the surgeon to do it...
The amp circuit board looks like it is intact, except for one of the whatchmacallits that have 3 legs soldered to the amp board. One of the legs needs re-soldering. Also, yes, another thing... Not bad, good.. (ish), the amp has 2 transformers and I have disconnected all the wires from the transformer for the circuit board of channel #3. That way there is no power going to or coming out of the transformer that powered channel #3. I have put electrical tape in the ends and secured the wires, please see the last picture. The channel #3 connectors were taken out and closed with electrical tape. The speaker connectors were damaged in transport anyway and the RCA and XLR connectors I accidentally tossed... stupid me... I will supply the amp circuitboard and wires to maybe be fixed again, or as spare parts. Now the good news: The other 2 channels work great, they are playing Dave Matthews as I type up the ad. This Stratos was from before the were called 'Plus' and 'Extreme', but it was upgraded with a larger memory bank and transformer than the standard Stratos. The front still looks perfect, as do the sides. The top has a few scratches and the rear has some electrical tape closing off the channel #3 connector holes. It looks pretty clean, I didn't tape it like some idiot (even though I am one sometimes). Rated 5 for the missing 3rd channel, scratches on top and electrical tape on the back. The front would get an easy 8 or 9. Before I forget: the amp comes with a nice upgraded Groneberg Quatro power cable. Retail this amp will set you back about $1500+, but that is a new one...
This one went through a battle or 2 and will go for $250. Paypal and Credit Card adds 3$ to cover the fees.
Money Orders are welcome too. Shipping might be a little costly, the thing weighs in at a healthy 70lbs.
FedEx Ground to the West Coast it +-$75 and to the East Coast +-$55. (I will not package it like last time, which was with the original packaging inserts. I will use bubble wrap this time.) International shipping... HAHAHAHA, yeah, right...
