KR Audio KT-88 QUAD low hours
Very rare KR Audio KT-88 tubes, one is labled Tesla Vršovice . The 3 KR tubes have about 100 hours one them and the Tesla Vršovice tube is NOS.
KR and Tesla Vršovice kt88 are the same tube and they sound the same only difference is the base. They were also marketed under the KR Audio name (see comparison photo) and currently EAT( EAT retail is $1695.00+ !!).They are made in small quantities to extremely high quality mfg. specs.They recreated the sound of the original Genelex tubes having striking clarity and transparency far above any other modern production tubes. Superb construction and a much harder vacuum during manufacture were two of the many reasons. They all test new on my calibrated Hickok 533a and in a Williamson amplifier test rig. Gm is matched within 3% across all four tubes. Current in cathode bias test amp measured between 59ma to 62ma gm results 8000, 8000, 8250, 8550 where average new is 7000. All test ok for gas ,shorts and sounded glorious with good emission. If you need more than 4 tubes check my other add for a NOS quad of Tesla Vršovice kt-88. Tubes will be well packed.
