It produced a clean, detailed and consistently smooth sound – a prerequisite for extended listening sessions. The reflex loading allowed a higher sensitivity and output capability compared to the RDM1 and both systems could be used equally well when mounted on their sides, for example, on a monitoring desk, due to the symmetry of the Uni-Q radiation pattern.
