I purchased this demo pair of JM Reynaud Bliss Silvers & Magic Stands about a year ago. I would rate these an 8/9 for condition. There are a few very small imperfections on two sides and the stands show scuff marks on the bottom, but tops, fronts, drivers, grilles, are all like new.
They were picked up (not shipped) from Amherst Audio in Amherst, MA. These retailed for $3,200 with the stands, and my asking price is $1,650 or best reasonable offer. Includes original shipping boxes/packing materials.
They work best with a stout solid state amp, but they also sound excellent with a powerful tube amp. Anything with a good power supply and 80+ watts will fit the bill. Blue Circle is what I liked best from a few of my integrated amp collection. Ayre AX7e also sounded great.
These speakers are one of the finest speakers I have had for acoustic music. Jazz, Blues, Classical, strings, vocals all sound exceptionally natural through the Bliss Silvers. They will play at realistic levels and the volume can exceed my idea of a reasonable volume.
If you are looking for super bass for rock, these will not do it. Compared with the Totem speakers I have used, these strike me as more balanced and centered on the mid-range. If you want Steely Dan or a Jazz quartet to pop up in your medium to smaller size space, these will do it very nicely.
Come see/hear these in La Crosse, Wisconsin, or if you live in the region, we can work out a deal where I deliver for the cost of gas. Feel free to email with questions - happy to do a phone conversation too.
