A classic speaker, the Tympani Iva is still considered the gold standard for bass reproduction by Magnepan's Wendel Dillard. This pair was completely refurbished two years ago by their prior owner just before i bought them. All internal wiring was replaced with current Magnepan grade wires, brand new tweeter ribbons were installed, all caps/resistors were checked for proper values, bass panel wiring was checked and, where necessary, re-glued to the mylar. Wood frame memembers were stripped and re-finished. Brand new socks were installed. These speakers look and sound new. I have only used the bass panels. The tweeters are still as-new. External Magnepan crossover is included for bi-amping
