For reasons that have nothing to do with my enjoyment of these speakers, I must sell my beloved Shindo Petite Latours. These are the full field coil edition, with the Altec 802D horn and Jensen 12A woofer. Sensitivity is over 100db. They were purchased about 6 years ago from Pitch Perfect Audio for $38K. Before Ken Shindo passed, Matt told me the price for the Petite Latours had increased to over $50K. I'm not sure they are still being made.
I will sell them for $19K.
I will have custom crates built at my expense, but shipping will be additional. I'll refrain from a song and dance about what these speakers are capable of--if you're reading this you probably have a good idea. I will say that as an exercise in pride of ownership, I have visited hi end show rooms around the country and auditioned close to a dozen speakers in PL's full price range. I heard nothing that equaled them.
