For your consideration, a legendary audiophile speaker by a world-renowned high-end speaker designer, Albert Von Schweikert: the VR4genIIIHSE (Hovland Special Edition). This is an incredibly sought after speaker, rarely for sale used, as owners seldom let these go. New these were about $6.5k when I bought them in '08, and by many accounts these sound better then subsequent generation of VR4 speakers (the VR4Sr, which ran ~$12k/pair), and have been called the best speaker under $20k by many reviewers.
