Pair of Verity Parsifal Encores in macore finish. In prestine condition. This is the sweet spot of the Verity speakers. I am the second owner. I purchased these from a dealer in Colorado. The previous owner had traded them in for something else.These were one of the last pairs with the original tweeter. The last batch of the Encores produced between 2002 and 2005 had a newer version of the Scanspeak tweeters. In 2005, the Encores ceased production, and Verity introduced the Ovation. Mine were sent back to Verity for the tweeter upgrades when I first purchased them. Also included in the $1,500 upgrade was the steel plates & the neoprene dots that goes between the top unit and the bass unit. These were used with the Ovations to improve the cohesion between the two cabinets. Note that there are screws protruding at the bottom of the speakers. You would screw the factory brass cones to them. I did not like the brass cones and have been using Finite Elemente Cerabase + 1.5" tall maple blocks. I would strongly recommend jacking them up to make sure the tweeters are level with your ears. I had some great discussions regarding this topic years ago with Virtual Dynamics. They were using the same speakers to voice their cables and demos at various shows, and they had some custom made base for their pair of Encores. Verity recommends that the bass unit fires into the wall, but you can also turn the unit around to face forward. I've always have them faced against the backwall in my setup.
