For sale is a Morrison ELAD preamplifier in like new condition. I purchased this unit NOS from another US Audio Mart member earlier this year. He purchased it years ago and never opened it. The main unit and power supply are in like new condition. The umbilical is in good functional condition; however, because of the age, the end of the plastic/rubber casing on both ends of the umbilical cracked and detached from the main casing (can be seen in pictures). This causes no functional or safety issues as there are no exposed wires.The ELAD is a very good preamplifier that merely passes through the information passed to it with minimal loss or alteration of the sound. At the price, there is no peer anywhere close. If you only need one or two single ended inputs and one or two single-ended outputs, the ELAD is an excellent choice. I tested this along with a number of active and passive preamps 10 to 20 times the Morrison's price, and the ELAD's sound quality is comparable to those much more expensive units. I ended up going with a passive unit (TEO Liquid preamplifier) almost 10x the ELAD's price because the passive unit was slightly more transparent and revealing. I will cover half of Paypal fees. I will cover half of insured shipping costs to the continental United States for a full price sale.
