For sale is a Plinius M14 phono preamplifier. The unit is in about 6.5/10 condition with some scratches on the top panel and some light smudges on the front panel. There are no functional issues. This is a great phono preamp that retailed for $3,495 in 2000, before the crazy runup in high end audio prices of the last 10 years. It was one of the best phono stages in its day. It is 22 lbs and built like a tank. High and low gain and loading are both conveniently selectable from the front panel. Also has a mute switch and a switch to invert phase. There is a switch to lift the ground in back. There is no need to remove the top panel for any adjustments! Has single-ended inputs and both single-ended and XLR outputs. It sounds fantastic with very good resolution with just a little bit of warmth in the mid-bass. The bass is very powerful. I seriously think you would have a hard time getting an equal or better phono preamp for around $1,500. I don't have the original boxes, but will package very well for shipping. I will cover half of insured shipping to the United States and half of Paypal fees if my asking price is met. Otherwise buyer pays shipping and we split Paypal fees. I have impeccable feedback here, on usaudiomart (wcheng), and on audiogon (wcheng2).
