Here is a unique version of the Jolida 9 MkII model phono amp with extensive factory mods.

Although the sticker on the back of the unit indicates "Upgrade I & III", this unit also has the Audyn Output Caps as shown in the attached pictures, which is the "Level IV" upgrade as per Jolida's upgrade categories as outlined below. I have also taken a picture of one of the upgraded Rubycon capacitors inside the unit. Overall these upgrades far surpass the build quality of any "standard" JD9 unit.

Here are the level-specific upgrades as per Jolida's website (http://www.jolida.com/upgrades/upgrading-your-equipment).

Please note I have only included the upgrade levels as they apply to this unit, and that the "Level IV" Audyn Output Caps upgrade supplants the Clarity ESA Caps otherwise included in the Level I upgrade as noted by my own "*" in the descriptions below.

JD9 (and JD5T) Upgrade I: The addition of a resistor array to the input and driver tubes, (Clarity Cap ESA output capacitors)*, gold pin 12AX7 Tungsol Tubes. Retail Price: $250

JD9 (and JD 5T) Upgrade III: Addition of the ByBee Rail Reduces noise by 45dB. Retail Price: $450

JD9 (and JD 5T) Upgrade IV: Addition of Audyn output capacitors. Retail Price: $250

A few words about the tubes: The included gold-pin Tung-Sols were used only very briefly before being swapped out for a vintage NOS pair of 12AX7 tubes, which I enjoyed for quite sometime, and then a pair of Sovtek 12AX7LPS, which I regularly used. The pair of Sovtek 12AX7LPS I'm including here with my asking price are a 2nd "back-up" pair, which are in "like-new" condition (no more than 8-10 hours just to be sure of their operating performance). For what it's worth I surprisingly found the Sovtek LPS tubes to be real "sleeper" tubes for the level of sonic quality they offer, and which led me to fully reconsider the notion of spending $100+ and upwards of $200 or more on vintage NOS 12AX7s in this unit...I recommend you give them an honest audition first BEFORE deciding to "Chase the Mullard or RCA Clear-Top Dragons" as it were...

But wait that's not all! Also included is a set of 3 "ISOBLOCK" footers (there are 4 but I only used 3 in a strategically arranged triangle as one is somehow shorter and also defective), which I believe do greatly reduce vibration and consequently a refinement in sound when used under the unit.

The total amount of the mods comes to $950, which combined with the current $699 price of the basic JD II unit makes for a grand total of $1649.

My asking price includes both sets of like-new 12AX7 tubes, the gold-pin Tung-Sols and Sovtek LPS, plus the set of Isoblock footers, AND PayPal and FedEx Ground shipping in the continental U.S. (these costs easily amount to $50+). I feel this is a very fair price given the particular upgrades on this unit and the included extras. Original factory box, packaging and Owner’s Manual all included as well.

Please check my various site feedback and buy with complete confidence.
