For sale is a Django passive preamplifier with Smith & Billington transformers, which are now only available in the much more expensive Music First preamplifiers. This unit has a few very small paint chips on the top of the front faceplate that many would not even mention. There are no functional issues. Not much to say about the sound, other than it is true to whatever source you are plugging into it. Doesn't add to or detract from the sound. I found this unit to be better than my reference preamp ($28K Ayon Polaris 3) when used with my digital music server, but not as good when playing vinyl. I mostly listen to vinyl, and I couldn't find a phono preamp in my budget (up to $2,500 used) that could compare to the internal phono preamp in the Ayon Polaris 3, and that's why I am selling this Django. Has 3 single-ended inputs and one XLR input. Has one single-ended and one XLR output. Gain can be set to +6 db. Ground can be lifted. I will pay for half of shipping to the continental United States and half of Paypal fees if my asking price is met. Otherwise, seller pays insured shipping and we split Paypal fees.
