This Benz cartridge is the current model Ruby ZH.
I received this cartridge brand new (I still have the outside wrapper from Benz) put 45 hours of break in time and another 4-5 hours of listening for a total of 50 hours or less. This cartridge is superb and belongs in the class with the Benz Micro LPS. I have had this cartridge for a few months and used it for evaluation along with others (Benz Micro LPS, Paradox Pulse R SMR, Benz Micro Gullwing SLR and Miyajima Labs Shilabe) which was the customer's wish to understand the characteristics of each. Now he wants me to sell them off.
The Ruby ZH, H is a High output, Moving Coil cartridge. An outstanding performer in the midrange with great musicality. The Bass is tight, deep and has power or musical weight. The highs have great clarity and a very natural sound.
Tracking is listed at 1.8 to 2 grams my evaluation was at 2 grams, output .62mv.
