Jolida JD1501a Integrated Amplifier with Hot Rod Mods. Unmodified this integrated is well respected as an affordable entry into a tube hybrid design. The Hot Rod Mods include diode bridge, upgraded caps and balance bypass which reportedly take it to a higher sonic plateau. Modified versions of this amp are sought after by high-end listeners. Condition of this amp is very good. Some very minor signs that it is a used piece but no scratches, gouges, or operational issues at all. Original selling price of stock unit was approximately $700, but with mods it sells for $1245.I have it paired with the excellent Jolida JD100 vacuum tube CD player with excellent results. My only wish is that the toggle power switch was a push button as I have smacked my wrist-watch against it on a couple of occasions as I walked by. I've enjoyed the way it let's the notes go - the decay, especially in a large recording venue is well rendered. Also, the pinpoint imaging with good recordings. "SuperBass 2" with Ray Brown, John Clayton and Christian McBride all playing their bass can get confusing on lesser equipment. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this as they were very well placed on the stage in their own distinct location...and you could hear the utensils hitting the dinner plates in the venue with astonishing realism.
