LSA Statement Integrated AmplifierI’m the second owner of this Black & Silver version of the Statement. First owner reported that he purchased unit in January 2015. I’m not sure of the first owner’s extent of use, but since I purchased it in June 2015 it has seen less than ten hours of use. I’ve decided to sell this and other equipment to scale back in anticipation of a move to smaller space. Apparently, this particular integrated was originally meant for the European market but as the LSA integrated amplifiers were being phased out, it was upgraded for the U.S. market to the Statement level. It’s status at the Statement level of upgrades was confirmed to me both by Walter Liederman of Underwood HiFi and by John Tucker of Exemplar Audio. During its time in the audio market the LSA Statement has ranged in price from $9,000 to $11,500 to $4,000 in its final phase out days. In generally good shape. It performs beautifully. Interior looks pristine. Back and sides look perfect. Small smudge on top cover (1/4”). Small marks on decorative metal above and below display panel. Marks range in size from 1/32” (7) to 3/16” (3). After removing the tape covering the display panel, found a small scratch to the lower left of the “cd” marking. See photos for closeup of the marks. Marks apparently were caused during shipment from first owner to me. Marks not readily visible unless close (see photo of overall unit taken from approximately three feet away). The metal remote control has a light scratch on its back side. For those who aren’t familiar with this substantial integrated amplifier, take time to read a couple reviews listed below and check out owner comments online. These reviews will describe the sound qualities and technology upgrades present in the Statement. Briefly, the LSA Statement integrated is a hybrid design with a dual mono tube pre-amp combined with a dual mono solid state power amp. It includes a moving magnet phono preamp which is isolated from the rest of the unit. It is based on a quality integrated amplifier which was extensively upgraded by John Tucker and his colleagues at Exemplar Audio - maker of high quality cables, audio electronics, and speakers.
