I purchased the Wadia in 2001. It has provided flawless service until recently. It now plays the first few tracks then stops, but plays individual tracks on demand. The 830 has been professionally cleaned and lubricated, but I haven't the ability to get it working up to spec. Maybe you do!The 830 was packed with many of Wadia’s digital achievements initially developed for their SOTA machines including upsampling algorithms and the option of using its digital volume control if connected directly to an amplifier. It has balanced and unbalanced outputs, phase inversion, song and disc repeat. The digital inputs (glass fiber, coaxial and TOSLINK) accept 16-24 bits up to 96kHz. The Pioneer Stable Platter transport requires CDs to be placed silver side up in the tray. Case shows a couple of pinhead nicks on the top edge of the faceplate and a scratch on the bottom. The unit comes with Wadia metal cone feet and receptor discs, the upgraded Wadia milled aluminum remote and the manual. 17” x 14½” x 4¾” 16 lbs. (20 lbs. with packing)
