For sale is the legendary and absolutely beautifully built Yamamoto A-08 single ended stereo amplifier with RCA Cunningham 45 output tubes, Raytheon 717A mushroom shaped input tubes, and an RCA 5U4G rectifier. This amplifier is like new in function and appearance. There is one itty bitty 1/8 inch long shallow and nearly unnoticeable mark at the rear of the champagne colored transformer cover. You have to look hard for it to find it. Look for the mark in the last of the images, at the very top of the bend where the transformer cover folds to start down at the rear of the amp. The mark is about 1/2 inch from the end of the cover.
Included in this sale are the pair of Yamamoto RCA locking interconnects which came with the amplifier, and a backup pair of Raytheon 717A tubes.
You have to see a Yamamoto amp to fully appreciate it. The fit and finish are of the highest order. Yamamoto built most of the hardware for this amp, including the highly regarded Teflon tube sockets. I am the second owner. The first owner, a good friend, used the amp for Edgarhorn Titan loudspeakers, with great results. In addition to the 45 tube, this amp will safely play 2A3 tubes with very satisfactory sound. One of the advantages of this amp is that replacement tubes are reasonably affordable.
The amplifier will be carefully wrapped to prevent chafing during shipping and will be protected by foam blocks and sheets, and will be double boxed. The buyer will be notified of the shipping and insurance costs which must be paid before shipment.
