Beautiful highly coveted tube amplifier from Conrad Johnson. I am the second owner with very low hours on the EL-34 German tubes. Rating due to age looks more like a 9. VERY CLEAN. Shipping would be between $60-75 in Continental U.S.A. due to the heavy packaging and weight.No longer have the original box but it will be securely packaged and double boxed for safe arrival at destination. Of all the medium power tube amplifiers made by CJ that I have owned, including MV-52, MV-55, and MV-60 I have to say this certainly is the most musical by far. Other models while still good are a bit clinical in the upper midrange and not as lush or sweet with strings.
This one has a rich midrange and very sweet and extended highs, not as whitish and skeletal as their revisions. The unit operates perfectly and never has had any issues. All original. No mods. Never needed any repairs. You can update this to sound better than anything out there by adding Teflon caps from CJ: http://www.tonepublications.com/old-school/conrad-johnson-mv-50/ Always used in my music room. Nonsmoking environment. Rarely since I use regularly other amps. Live in Tampa, Florida. Pickup also welcome.
