Mint pair of Atma-Sphere M60's v3.3 looking for a new home. 1.5 years old WITH 1.5 years of transferable warranty left for the buyer. This particular pair has the V-Cap Copper Foil coupling cap upgrade. ALSO has the upgraded rectifiers ensuring that these amps will be dead quiet even with the most sensitive of speakers. When I initially purchased these amps, there was a small bit of powerline hum/buzz that I could barely hear at the seated position with my overly efficient (~100db) speakers. They were sent back to Ralph at Atma and upgraded with the super quiet HEXFRED's and although Ralph felt they were pretty quiet when he received them, when I got them back all noise was gone, period. You'll notice in the pictures I'm only running the amps with 2x 6as7g's per side. This is a beautiful thing about the amps, for speakers with a higher impedance and efficiency (16ohm) you can use with fewer tubes and still get a sublime sound and use less energy in the process (and save tube life). The middle driver tube can be pulled as well and replaced with a jumper plug (sold by Atma) to reduce the gain if needed. I have 2 full sets of tubes for these amps that I will include at my asking price. The standard set that shipped with the amp and a set of NOS RCA 6AS7G's,.. they are all interchangeable. I will also include some very choice American NOS 6SN7's along with the standard 6SN7's that ship with the amp. So why am I selling. Ultimately I have found that in my situation I am using between a watt or two of power for normal listening. The beasts will provide me with 80 watts of power,.. I've come to the realization that is WAY more than I will ever need and they could be better used elsewhere. In all honesty, I most likely will try to find an S30 to replace them with I enjoy the sound that much. The sound of the OTL design is exquisite. It is clean and clear and exhibits by far the best, fastest, cleanest and deepest bass I have ever heard out of my speakers, period. Maybe something else out there can equal it, but so far, this is it. My comparisons are a Line Magnetic 219 & 518, Manley Labs Stingray, Rogue 88 Magnum and Atlas, NuForce STA200, FirstWatt J2, and Ayon Spirit III (KT150),.. They all pale in comparison when used in conjunction with my Zu's... I will cover shipping and all the extra tubes at my asking price. The use of PP will incure an extra 3% fee. I am open to negotiation with the understanding that the extra's will not be included.
