Spectron Musician III Signature Edition Mk2 w Bybee, VCaps and premium fuses (note: only one amp left for sale - top one in pictures - newer serial number 15xxx (i.e. built in 2015)) This astonishing amp is simply the best power amp I have had or heard. I have had the pleasure of owning many really terrific amps (Accuphase, Audiomat Prelude Reference, Bel Canto, Bluenote Demidoff Signature, Electrocompaniet, Gryphon Callisto, Maker Audio, NuPrime, Odyssey Kismet, Pathos Reference TT, Primare A34.2, QUAD Platinum, Red Rose Model 5, to name a few), and this is the best. I am out of space and am reducing my "audio footprint", hence the sale. I also have a 12 ft pair of Spectron Remote Sense cables available (with or after the amp sale) for $400. I will sell the amp and cables together for $3000. State of the Art sound reproduction for $3K out the door . . . not too bad! This MK2 model has 100 individual power supply filtering capacitors in lieu of two large 22,000 mfd versions, which makes response quicker. The 10x quicker internal feedback from John Ulrick's design is a major contributing factor of its great sound as well. There are internal switches to select 120 or 240 VAC power and external toggle switches on the back panel to select RCA or XLR inputs and polarity. Idling AC power is around 40 watts which leaves the unit only slightly warm to touch. Cool temperatures greatly extend component life by a factor of two for each 19 degrees F (10 degrees C) which implies about 3x longer life than conventional amplifiers. The amp has incredible dynamic range and, together with quick feedback, exceptional dynamics, clarity and realism.
