Deluxe model has been to SMC 3 times for the latest updates. Everything that could be upgraded on this unit was performed. All were to put it at the leading edge of available upgrades. Also has balanced inputs and dual Cardass binding posts.
It is just back with all possible updates, burned in and is the highest revision known to date. No expense spared.

Plitron transformer does take this amplifier to a high realm of bass response, damping, along with resolution/sound stage that is outstanding.
It is one of a select few that truly got the "Full Monty" treatment with everything that SMC had to offer at that time (2006). It originally received the full Revision A treatment plus Plitron custom toroid transformer, soft-recovery diodes,and Black Gate bypass caps, WBT next generation RCAs.
(2011) We later added balanced inputs, ARC-2 power circuit, and the "Carbon-Siltech" wire upgrade. Quicksilver Gold contact enhancer, Musicoat treatment (full vial), ARC-1 advanced rectification circuit.
(2014) Now we have added a Furutech AC inlet and the latest AC wiring, new AC bypass caps, and several improved power supply caps.
It sounds absolutely amazing and is documented as the finest DNA-1 upgrade to date.
