Let me be clear. This is not a product from some new company using Jack Bybee's name and maybe a bastardized version of his parts to sell IC filters.These are both very, very rare and extraordinary in sound quality. If you've seen them up for sale more than once in the past 5 years, I'd be astonished. This is the real deal. Made by Jack Bybee in the 90's. And while he made quite a few of the unbalanced IC filters, he made only about a dozen pairs of these XLR balanced ones. I happened to have been lucky enough to buy 2 pairs from a friend of Jack's a number of years ago. And in my second room, with my balanced interconnects, they have brought added sound stage depth, more detail and air and a complete lack of any constriction. One of those who demo'd the Bybee IC filters with me was Bascom King, the famous audio critic and audio designer. He wanted to see what the IC filters would do to the sound of the $140,000 Constellation Audio Hercules Amplifier he co-designed. Bascom said there was no question: the opening up of detail, the more spacious and natural sound was stunning. Imagine how it would improve your system.
